Abrasive tools
Flex hone tools are used to remove medium to hard (limescale) deposits in heat exchanger tubes. In many cases, the standard abrasive brushes are sufficient to remove fouling. In the event that deposits remain after cleaning, it is recommended to use a flex hone tool.
The tool consists of 180 grit silicon carbide stones that sand lightly and thereby remove deposits from the tube wall. Because the tool is used oversized, all 180 abrasive stones will come into contact with the tube wall for maximum cleaning effect.
The flex hone tools are fitted with standard Goodway threading, making them compatible with the (blue) Goodway flexible shafts for wet tube cleaning. Use these tools with a light water flush for maximum effect and longevity. Available for tubes with internal diameters between 6,4 and 101,6 millimetres.
