Heavily deposited flue gas cooler tubes
An industrial site in The Netherlands had a flue gas cooler with heavily deposited tubes. The cause was their production process, which created a lot of dust which in terms heavily polluted the tubes. Because the inner diameter of the tubes was pretty big (100+ mm), our experts advised the customer to use special designed, oversized, nylon spider brushes.
The right oversize and a powerful AWT-100X tube cleaner provided the solution. The oversize ensured the correct friction in the tube, while the high RPM of the AWT-100X made sure that all deposits were loosened quickly. After the cleaning, the efficiency of the entire system had instantly improved. Goodway Benelux has advised the customer to increase their maintenance frequency, so future cleanings will become easier and faster.
