GDS-100: cleaning and descaling RSW cooler tubes at fishing vessel

A fishing vessel had problems with (limescale) deposits inside the tubes of some RSW coolers on board. The current cleaning method with rotating brushes and the Goodway AWT-100 tube cleaner was not sufficient. After consultation with the experts from Goodway Benelux, the customer chose to perform a chemical cleaning without disassembly with the GDS-100 descaling pump system.

A total of 1000 liters of Scalebreak-MP was circulated through the tubes and after a few hours the (limescale) deposit was completely dissolved. The cleaning was then carried out on 3 other coolers on board the vessel. The coolers themselves did not have to be dismantled, which was a significant advantage for everyone in terms of speed, safety and downtime.
