GDS-C92: cleaning and descaling of an Alfa Laval plate heat exchanger

A customer who provides heating and cooling solutions for buildings had problems with an Alfa Laval plate heat exchanger. This specific installation was extremely fouled with limescale deposits. After considering various options, this customer chose to have the cleaning carried out using the CIP procedure (chemical cleaning without dissasembly.)

The Goodway GDS-C92 descaling pump system was used to circulate the cleaning agent. ScaleBreak-MP liquid descaler was used as a cleaning agent to dissolve the limescale deposits and flush them from the system. After a few hours of circulation time, the deposit was removed and the job could be completed.
