Heat Exchanger Tube Cleaning

In this video you can see how a small heat exchanger is cleaned with a Goodway RAM-4 mechanical tube cleaning system. This particular shell and tube heat exchanger had light fouling in the relatively small tubes (8 mm). For this tube size, a thin GTC-701 flexible shaft was used in combination with the nylon GTC-211 brushes.

Due to the high speed of the rotating brushes and the low-pressure water flush, the deposits are quickly and easily removed out of the tubes. This leads to a direct increase in the heat transfer and thus a better efficiency of the system.
